Hi Windom families. Happy November! It’s hard to believe we are ¼ of the way though the school year. We’re in a pretty good rhythm and there is a lot to look forward to down the road, so let’s keep up the energy and excitement! Here’s this weeks update…
Report Cards:
Once grades are finalized, we will send them for printing to the Document Center. Once printed they will be sent home. You should anticipate seeing them in the next week or so. If, by the end of next week you don’t get one, reach out to the office so we can make sure to get you one.
APEX Fun Run:
The Fun Run is on Thursday. As of today, the forecast for Thursday looks to be a little questionable. We will keep everyone updated on the plan if we are unable to be outside.
Media Specialist:
Our new media Specialist has finally started! Her name is Carey Cappuccio. She will be working with the director of Media Services this week to get up to speed and will be able to start checking out books to students. Exciting!
Application for Educational Benefits:
Each year ALL families are asked to fill out the Application for Educational Benefits (AEB) form. Information provided on the AEB form across the district generates funding for Minneapolis Public Schools, schools, students and families. We have had about a 50% completion rate. Regardless of whether you qualify or not, please fill out the form if you have not yet done so. You only need to fill out one form per family. Here is the link: https://family.titank12.com/. Click on “Apply for meals today” and then follow the directions. We also have paper copies in the office if you would prefer to do it in person.
COVID shot clinic:
We are working to host a COVID vaccine clinic on Thursday, November 18th from 4:30-7:30. The details are being finalized. This will likely be a co-op event with multiple schools. We will be sending out a sign-up for vaccine appoints soon. Be on the lookout and sign up as soon as you can before times fill up.
Picture Day:
Picture Day, try 2, will be on Monday, November 29th. We will be sending home flyers this week.
