Welcome to Windom Community School!
We are excited that you have chosen to begin your child’s educational journey with us at the new Windom Community School. We have had a great first year with students right here in our community and we look forward to you joining us. Our school staff is committed to creating a learning environment that supports all learners. We value Community, Kindness, Empathy and Equity. Kindergarten is an important first step in elementary school, providing the foundation for future success, and you will find your classroom teacher to be engaging and supporting the academic and social development needs of all students.
Registration Next Steps:
Submit the following documents as soon as possible in-person or via email to our school secretary, Daniela.Brito@mpls.k12.mn.us. Feel free to stop by when it’s convenient anytime between 8:30-5:00 Monday-Friday to turn in paperwork and meet the office staff.
You can fill out the registration form online here: https://enroll.exploremps.org/, then bring to the school the following:
Record of birth date: Birth certificate, passport, or other official document
Record of immunizations: Please ask your clinic for a copy of your child’s immunization record
Copy of Early Childhood Screening for children entering High Five and Kindergarten: If your child has not been screened, appointments are available by calling 612.668.3715
Special Education records: If your child receives special education services, the school will need a copy of the current Individual Education Plan (IEP) and evaluation.

September 7 9:30-4:00 1st Day of School (Kindergarten)
September 7 9:30-10:00 PTO hosted Tissues & Coffee for Kindergarten caregivers
